Introduction:

This is our first show using Squadcast.  We are all in different locations while recording this episode.

Main Show:

Sarah’s W.I.N’s:

Do your days blur together?   Sarah discusses why this occurs and how to prevent it from happening if this is something that happens to you.

Sleep deprivation is a very real and huge problem in this country.  Sarah leads a discussion on the importance of sleep.

Peter’s W.I.N’s:

Is willpower a real thing?  Peter discusses this and more in his WIN.  We like to think of it more as a muscle that can be trained and improved.

There is a new act passing working its way through Congress that will allow broader use of FSA money for things like youth sports, the gym, and more.  The name of this act is the PHIT act.  Learn more here.

Gary’s W.I.N’s:

Is minimum wage going up a good thing?  Gary argues that the rise in wages will accelerate the rise in the cost of goods.  He is really calling out the companies for deceptive promotion of the rise in the minimum wage because they pass the cost onto the consumer.

A new study from UMass has determined we only need 7000 steps a day to reduce our risk of mortality.  It is good to take more steps, but it does not have a change in mortality beyond 7000.
